Civil CAD Technician – Entry Level Position

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated CAD Technician to join our team in a full-time, in-person position based in either our Nampa or McCall, Idaho office. This role focuses on preparation of machine control models and supporting various aspects of surveying and construction projects. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects in road and highway construction, residential and commercial developments, on both the engineering and surveying sides.

Key Responsibilities:

· Preparation of 3D Models for use with Machine Controlled Equipment

· Plan Preparation Drafting

· Takeoff Computations

· Direct experience in the CAD preparation of numerous types of land and transportation development plans

Requirements:

· Ability to learn Civil CAD programs (Civil3D, InRoads, Carlson Civil or similar) including creating surfaces, road profiles, grading, earthwork computation

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where limited information exists

· Highly motivated self-starter with driven personality having a focus on quality and excellence in work product, and willing to take on new challenges

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Computer literate and comfortable working with technology

Survey Crew Chief - Full-time

We are currently recruiting for a Survey Crew Chief to join our Nampa, ID location.

‍NXB Geo specializes in construction survey, especially in very high-profile heavy highway and infrastructure projects, as well as commercial construction. This position will perform boundary and topographic surveys on occasion, but the focus is primarily construction. As such, normal tasks for the survey crew chief would include but not be limited to:

‍ · Localize to and setup control networks on job sites.

‍ ‍· Coordination with construction personnel.

‍ ‍· Topographical mapping of sites for use in quantity calculations

‍ ‍·  Layout and grading for all aspects of construction (substructure, superstructure, hard surface improvements, underground utilities, etc.)

‍ ‍·   Make calculations as needed from civil construction plans.

‍ ‍‍‍Requirements:

‍ ‍·   4+ years of Land Surveying experience

‍ ‍·   Knowledge and ability to utilize Carlson SurvPC (or related field survey software)

‍ ‍·   Experience effectively managing multiple, complex construction survey projects.

‍ ‍·    Good organizational skills

‍ ‍·     Good client interfacing skills

‍ ‍·      Willing to work in inclement weather and all types of terrain.

‍ ‍·      Ability to navigate civil construction plans.
